I pulled off into a town to stop for fuel. As I made my way to the gas station, I noticed 111 everywhere. Hmmm, I’m suppose to be here I guess. So I follow the numbers.

Then a witches’ store caught my eye. I paused at the light thinking to myself, should I or shouldn’t I? There is a reason I’m thinking about this. So I pull off park and walk to the store.

With no expectation, I found myself chatting with the shop keeper — and then it happened. The reason why I was there had revealed itself to me:

“Well I went through dark night of soul in January — well it was more like 50 days of dark night of soul…” I continued to explain some of the revelations during this period and she cut me off to say…

“Oh that sounds painful but have you ever thought of creating an ancestor alter?”

“No, what is that?”

“Everyone who has created one, has always seen results. You spend some time everyday connecting with your ancestors. You learn more about the ancestral traumas, you talk to them and then willfully return the burdens you have carried back to them. Saying that you do not want to carry their pains. You have to remember that the thing is they don’t want you to carry their pains…” She went on to describe in more detail and even suggested I meditate on it. Then recommended I visit the crystal store across the street.

I paid her for a candle (an expensive one might I add $20?! — I guess its a fair trade for the advice) and went on my way to the crystal store.

So then in the crystal store…

“Hello!” a warm greeting from the woman who tends to the store from the counter.

I walk around the store and begin to look at the various crystals. As I begin to pick up a few crystals…

“There are trays over there, with a card so you can write down the prices. Did I mention everything is 22% off?”

I thank her for the insight and continued to peruse the shop. Right as I approached the counter to check out she stopped me…

“Is there anything else I can help you with?” Her demeanor indicated she knew I was sent here — or at least seemed out of place.

“Well the lady at the witch store across the street sent me here — I recently went through my dark night of the soul…”

She cut me off as she began walking to a cabinet “I have just the thing for you. Have you ever heard of a record keeper?”

“No I have not”

“These stones have said to hold records from the time they were created. Information of sorts. Often identified by the triangle patterns found in the stone. You can use these to go back and heal old trauma from that time period, other time periods and then clear the records to create your own…” much like the previous shop keeper she continued to give me great detail and much advise on how to use the stone. She checked me out and right as I was leaving she said “You might want to come back into town as we have an ancestry healing workshop on the August 3rd!”

Hmmm… I actually will be passing back through town during that time. What are the chances?

So let’s step back for a minute…

Ancestor Altar. There is so much on this. It’s some variation of family photos, candles and offerings.

Another site adds “Word of caution: healing your ancestral pain is not for the faint-hearted!“

Too late, that door was opened during my dark night of the soul. Time to put this sh*t to rest. As I’m done carrying it around.

So I guess I’m doing this. And as per the website, I will need assistance. So I guess time to hit up that shop on Facebook and get the deets as to August 3rd?

I’ll let you know how it goes… I need to spent the next few days getting provisions and assembling this “altar”.

And then there is the record keeper that was given to me…

I have found when I follow the numbers things happen. I guess this was the adventure for yesterday. Meaning keep focused on resolving family traumas. I wasn’t sure if this was something to prioritize for NOW but this was a big sign I should. But hey I’m not complaining — I’m willing to try anything.
